DepEd Opens 65,000 New Plantilla Positions Nationwide (APPLY NOW!)
The Department of Education (DepEd), led by Education Secretary Sonny Angara, is ramping up its nationwide hiring and promotion drive for thousands of newly created, permanent Plantilla positions. Authorized under the FY 2026 national budget and Civil Service Commission (CSC) guidelines, the recruitment aims to fill critical teaching, administrative support, school leadership, and student guidance roles across public schools and division offices.
This initiative is designed to improve classroom instruction, address teaching shortages, and relieve educators of non-teaching administrative burdens.
Priority Vacancies Approved for Creation & Hiring
The workforce expansion encompasses a wide array of teaching, non-teaching, and specialized administrative roles:
Teaching Positions:
- Teacher I: 32,916 newly created posts across Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High School (JHS), and Senior High School (SHS).
Administrative & Support Personnel:
- Administrative Officer II (SG 11): 11,268 items created to directly handle school-level administrative duties.
- Project Development Officer I (SG 11): 5,000 positions for program implementation and monitoring.
- Administrative Assistant II & Administrative Officer IV/V: Openings across central, regional, and division offices.
School Leadership & Guidance:
- School Principal I: 6,000 positions to bolster school leadership.
- School Counselor Associate I: 10,000 newly CSC-approved items dedicated to mental health and student welfare support.
Minimum Qualification Benchmarks
Eligibility requirements vary according to the specific career level and position applied for:
Teaching Positions (Teacher I):
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (or relevant Bachelor's degree with 18 professional education units).
- Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) rating / RA 1080 eligibility.
Administrative Officer II / PDO I:
- Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job.
- Career Service Professional (Second Level Eligibility) or equivalent.
Note: No prior experience or specialized training hours are required for entry-level SG 11 AO II positions.
School Principal & Higher Posts:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education plus relevant Master's units/degree.
- Required years of teaching, administrative, or supervisory experience and relevant training hours.
- Passing score in the Principal's Test / NQESH (for Principal positions).
Documentary Requirements
Applicants are required to submit their official application folder to the target Schools Division Office (SDO) or through the designated online hiring portal:
- Letter of Intent addressed to the Head of Office / Schools Division Superintendent
- Fully accomplished Personal Data Sheet (CSC Form 212, Revised 2017) with Work Experience Sheet
- Certified true copy of PRC License / Board Rating or CSC Eligibility Certificate
- Official Transcript of Records (TOR)
- Certificates of relevant Employment / Experience and Trainings attended
- Latest Performance Rating (IPCRF) for current government or teaching personnel

Online Registration: Applicants must register through the respective SDO Applicant Manager system or DepEd job portal (deped.gov.ph).
Evaluation & Ranking: Eligible candidates will undergo document verification, comparative assessment, and interview processes conducted by the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB).
